I cant even remember the last time I was here, but I feel this is the only place I can talk, I had a call from my GP a couple of weeks back saying that there was more lesions on my brain from my latest scan and that I need to be seen asap, since then I have moved gps as we had moved so I fear I have fell through the net yet again, I thought this could be linked to the possible MS they have been investigating but the GP said he couldnt rule out the C word I havent even confided in my wife or my friends I dont know how to go about it and I am also too scared to call the GP to follow it up :/

I'm so sorry to hear that! As difficult as it must be you really have to follow up on this, I know you know this yourself but honestly please do it. You've spared your loved ones from being hurt but it's to the detriment of your own health and I'm sure they wouldn't be happy to know you hadn't told them nor followed it up. Also as hard as it is try to keep thinking the doctor didn't say it was the C word so hang on in there with that thought and please please take positive steps to be seen. It could be a lot better than you think and obviously it can only get seen to if you take the next step and pick up that phone. Really feel for you. Best wishes. Now go pick up that phone...we're all here for you! Xx

I totally understand that, I really do. Remember tho the only way you can make anything better is by doing something about it. Scary, yes but def better than waiting and wondering and maybe allowing things to get worse. You are tormenting yourself with worry, I'd much rather know, even although it's such a worry to go, it must be just as worrying making it up in your own head what could be or what might not be.

Please call him back, there are no positives in not doing so. You are very precious to lots of people and even if you are so scared try to do it for them, think about their feelings in this too; it will only hurt them more when they find out you hid this from them and they could be quite angry that you didnt tell them or see your gp.

Horrible situation, none of us deserve what has happened to us and neither do our families but we can try to make it a bit easier on ourselves and our families and friends by seeking the help we so clearly need.

You will be worried, of course you will be and it's sad that you are having problems with your left side again, it's really tough to keep strong sometimes when we are dealing what what we are going through and yes it's horrible having to break bad news to people but until you see that gp you don't really know the true facts of what is going on, so go on....go phone...please just do it. We are always here for you to vent to and that's because we care, so please realise that everybody here too will be rooting for you and willing you to be seen.

You will be stronger than you think, you will surprise yourself, now go call! Please! xx

looks like I have fallen through the net noone knows anything :'(

This is far too important to ignore. The longer you leave it, the worse the worry will be. If you think you have fallen through the net, even more reason to phone the doctor ASAP. Please share with someone, even a friend if you don't want to worry your family, and get them to come with you to the doctor. It is always better to have someone with you if possible, Firstly they will remember what has been said in case you forget something and secondly they might think of things to ask that won't occur to you till you have got home.

Go on - do it now and do let us know how it goes.

Whatever this thing is, it will be easier to deal with once it has been identified and named. At that point you will know. You will be able to ask questions about treatment and recovery. If you don't get an answer to the 'what is it' question your brain goes into overdrive with all the worst case scenarios.

So keep plugging away at getting answers because once you know what it is you are facing you will go into 'fight it' mode which will be a whole lot less scary than where you are now.

Blessings

So pleased you have found someone to go with you. Now keep on at them till you get your appointment. It is really bad that it should have to be like this, the worry about appointments makes things so much worse

Hope all goes well.
