Hello

I was wondering if anyone has giving HBOT a try?

If so, did it help?

There are a couple of places nearby(ish) that offer this.

Also, any idea on cost?

Any information would be great.

Thanks!

I've seen this treatment mentioned once or twice over the years but unfortunately the members didn't return with feedback.

I hope you'll get the information you need Pete ; meanwhile this site might be helpful ? oxygenhealing.co.uk

Best wishes......................

From what I read many years ago, the treatment is best administered early after the injury to reduce the symptoms. i think you need quite a few (in the 10's) of treatment to see any effect.

Hi Pete,

I have not tried this treatment but our current manager of my Headway group told us about how a man with a brain injury cured/treated his injury using some sort of an oxygen treatment, it may be the same treatment you speak of.

My brother's partner has neuralgia and his doctor told him about an oxygen treatment where you inhale puffs of pure oxygen. My bro said he had never heard of that bedore and I said that I could understand that and told him the story of what my manager told me.

The manager also mentioned that another guy helped his injusry by making himself laugh a lot. Apparently when you laugh your brain creates a certain chemical that is good for healing. Like the old saying "Laughter is the best medicine"... Literally.

I have no idea how much those treatments would cost but I assume it is pretty costly.

I use more essential oils now and it was a few years ago that I read about Frankincense essential oil is brilliant for brain injuries because it sends oxygen to the brain and oxygen is what your brain needs in order to heal.

The best essential oil on the market is Doterra but they can be expensive too. It would cost around £80-£90 for a small bottle of Frankincense.

I get a mid-range Frankincense oil which you can buy from a few different retailers. Naissance is one of them and I sometimes get EOs from Amazon.co.uk's dofferent sellers.

The best way to use Frankincense, I find is to inhale it or you could get a cold air diffuser and put 1-3 drops in the tank of water.

Some EOs shouldn't be used topically because than can cause irritation to the skin so with some EOs you should use a carrier oil to blend the EO in.

I found inhaling the Frankincense oil has helped me with my fatigue and I am hoping it can help in other ways in the long run :).

Take care,

MJ
