Ouch! I'm on 1250mg twice a day + Lamotrigene 150mgtwice a day + Tramadol + Paracetamol + Statin + 2 x Blood pressure drugs.....

No wonder the health service is broke. I must have taken it all.

Still can't afford the Rolls Royce though.

To be fair rather not be taking any at all but shows howe much the health service means :-)

Ah, how do you feel physically on those meds?

Pretty tired most of the time. Have memory issues as well but this may well be due to the tumour and/or the epilepsy.

Gets to be a struggle sometimes seperating what may be tumour/epilepsy symptoms and side effects.

Confusion is virtually permanent which is why now the meds are put up in monthly dossette packs so I don't keep messing the dosages up as I had been and easier not to miss the dose.

Did you actually get to play in public again and did it go well? Certainly hope so the piano piece you posted was brilliant and really relaxing.

Hope you are keeping well and feelin a bit brighter now.

Does make you wonder. I know tramadol is now a controled drug. I feel like someone on a rehab programme when having to double sign for mym meds since this happened. I asked why and was told because of its street value.

All this time I have been swallowing a fortune. Dont know what the effects of taking it when not in pain are. Obviously must be good if its got a decent street value.

I have been trying to find an alternative but its seems the only thing that works instead is morphine. Which iseven worse for addiction.

Does it completely relieve the pain?

I try and keep pain killers to a minimum using other techniques to manage pain daily. I cannot say doing this that I am totally pain free, its more discomfort, but livable.

Doing this enables me to increase meds should I need to. I know I could be toatally pain free on full dosage but run the risk of becoming acustomed to the meds and eventually need stronger meds. Plus there is always the risk of adiction.

My consultant does an adiction test every year or so to check that the meds are working and I am not relying on them and are addicted.

This is never an enjoyable time but I understand the need as I will be on some form of pain meds for life, which I plan on being a long time.

I literally need a carrier bag each month for my meds, and two of them have high street value. My pharmacist does 6 monthly reviews in his 'chat' room and it's reassuring that he has my interests in mind.....................more than can be said for my GP.

I've never underestimated the cost of prescription drugs and always feel gratitude when I collect them, especially as I get them free of charge.

I remember in the changing rooms I dropped my whole pill box on the floor and so I chucked them out. Must have been 50 dollars worth in there.

I suspect chucking them out was a wise move ; too many organisms in a changing room for my liking ! :o
