Matt-bats or Mattphrase

This is a little game I made. I bring these pictures/puzzles into my Headway group and see if they can solve them. They are like a mixture of Catchphrase and Dingbats. I also post them on Facebook too.

No, that isn't the answer. The clue in the top left corner tells you that the answer refers to a music band, I don't know if you can see that. It is four males wearing crowns in Lee On Solent but 'solent' is crossed out. I wonder why?

Puzzles leave me feeling stupid,...I dislike feeling stupid so I leave them to those who enjoy being puzzled...

I hate jigsaw puzzles too but for some weird reason just can't walk past one without feeling the urge to locate and fit one piece... that is all just one piece and I am done....

Good job I don't mind being weird eh LOL

We are all weird in our own little way, iforget, I know I am :). Puzzles might make you feel stupid but they are good for activating and exercising the brain.

I agree with almost everything you have to say iforget but here's where we differ. I couldn't walk away after fitting just one piece ; I'd be hooked. I can sit 'til the late, early hours finishing a jigsaw or crossword !

Addictive personality vs disciplined one perhaps ? :-/

I probably couldn't fit one piece then walk off either, I would probably try to get as much as I could done. Me and Mum like to do jigsaws, especially around Christmas, we like Thomas Kinkade jigsaws, he does beautiful paintings. The only thing I don't like about jigsaws sometimes is I feel a jigsaw is a one person playing kind of thing, I could be holding a piece and looking at the lid of the box and try to see where it fits. I put it in place, put the lid Dow, get another piece, or pieces, then I find the lid has gone and my Mum is hogging it haha.

The one piece of jigsaw thing is my way of convincing myself that I could do a jigsaw if I wanted to... not sure if I actually could (especially not post BI) but quite honestly I never had/still do not have the patience to ever find out ;) Jigsaw and other puzzles never appealed to me as a kid either...I was seriously into the written word from a very early age

I am quite comfortable in my own weirdness :)

No not weird ; just a personal preference. But I agree that the written word gives the ultimate pleasure. I love crosswords, and I've written poetry & short stories since the age of 10 when I won my first poetry prize for one about 'Sunset'.

You're never alone with words to play with and the great thing is, they're virtually infinite and absolutely free !

I like crosswords, especially when the clues are easy :). Well done on winning first prize for your poetry, Cat. I have been drawing from an early age and because of the right sided paralisys my very first op gave me, this affected my handwriting and art as I am right handed. (I forgot to mention this part before. A lot has happened to me that I forget some parts). Anyway, when I first picked up a pen and began to write, my right hand was shaking so much that I could not even hold a pen! Practice makes perfect, as they say and my handwriting and art did improve but then I had further ops and so my handwriting and art decreased again but slightly different to the first time. It is in a more permanent position now but my art is still great, I like to think, but the handwriting is slow and quite a chore.

I like Sudoku, I know that is not exactly a word game and I do like Scrabble. I play a game that is very similar to Scrabble called "Words with friends". I like word games in general I think. I like some of the Puzzler games. My auntie used to get the magazines but now I have an app on the iPad for Puzzler.
