Wedding prep doesn't go well

A weekend in Derbyshire to check out the hotel we're staying in on our wedding weekend. This is the 'best' picture I could muster up thanks to the monsoon that accompanied our trip.

Oh, and we got food poisoning. It was a fun trip.

Yes it was a shocker & I thought about you at the time. But up there on them moors can be pretty hairy at times............your expression says it all !

Hope the 'actual' day is calmer & drier and that you found the hotel to your liking.

It snowed heavily on my day so an extra-white wedding.

We got the food poisoning at the hotel, so we've changed our plans. We've now let a cottage two minutes from the Register Office instead that we can stay in with the kids. We can now just make it up as we go along really during that weekend.

And yep, the Baroness-to be is a darling. Dreadful weekend but we rarely stopped laughing!

That's the key to survival isn't it................whatever cr+p we're dealt, the humour is a life-saver. Mind you, if it's dealt in the form of edible bacteria it's not a laughing matter at the time..........it's horrible.

Hope you're both fully recovered and the more flexible arrangement for the big day sound like a wise move.

I'm repeating myself but I'm so happy for you Andy. All this marriage business makes me smile and spreads some much-needed optimism around. xx

We always prefer hiring a cottage to staying in a hotel, excellent when you just got to have that slice of toast at 11:30pm

You could always look on the bright side, at least the food poisoning diets available - ensures the wedding suits fit !

I think it's wonderfully positive occasion. It's great for us to have your wedding to look forward to we are your other family after all!
