Hi, I can relate to so much of your story. Jack and Sophie are brother and sister, both acquired brain injuries 18months ago in a car accident. Jack had to have 2 areas of his skull removed for the increased pressure. I still think why did this happen to us, the future scares me a lot, what hurdles these 2 kids will have to face, life is so cruel and unfair, but as parents we keep fighting and try and remain strong, because they are our children and we will do anything possible for them xx

It's a parents duty to fight for our children.... My kids mean the world to me and what ever the future holds for us we will face it as a family that's what we do. I feel the same fear for the future as you do Julie.... I worry about who will look after him when am not able to do an to b frank it scared the living hell out of me :-( xxxx

Hi, I have the same fears. The future is scary, independence, relationships, working, all this was never a worry before. But now it's a daily worry. I will also do anything for my children, and fight for everything that they deserve, with most things being a fight. I do get very bitter and angry still, and can't see that ever changing, please keep in touch xx

Julie you sound just like me... Only this afternoon I got very angry with Liam's Physio woman.... Told her 3 months ago I was unhappy with his knee... She said it was fine.... Today she says differently...... These are professional people yet us parents seem to know there job better than them!!!! Makes me mad xx

I trained as a nurse, which isnt always an advantage, because you know to much. But so pleased i had that knowledge when in hospital and on the ward. We had lots if issues, and think as parents we know our kids better than anyone xx
