Hi all. Advice please. My endo, after struggling for years on Levo prescribed Armour Thyroid which has proved a god send for me. Unfortunately the consultant works for several health boards and when I usually see him it is at a hospital which is under a different health board to my own. This didnt matter until recently when the health board said that they could no longer prescribe to patients who live outside the area even though my consultant works for several health boards. The healthboard where I live (Aneurin Bevan health board in Wales) will not prescribe Armour thyroid which has left me hugely concerned. As Armour costs close to £200 per month and with a young family, even though I have a decent job £200 will be beyond me. Any advice in this matter would be greatly appreciated?

I've never heard of that medication but here in Australia we have a different healthcare system. I'm sorry I can't help.
