I have just found Tiquhillie it is lovely. For me Black Farmer sausages are the best gf sausages on the market at the moment. Have difficulty finding them in scottish borders. Morrisons is the main stockists it seems.

Black farmer have an on-line shop :)

Thanks for this, we all need to share the good things and help each other to get the best from what is out there.

My favorite gf biscuits are Eskal chocolate wafers they tend to be sold in independent health food shops and they knock spots of the gf biscuits available from super markets, in my opinion.

I aslo agree with you 100% that 'we' need to share info to help each other. And that we want to keep this site positive and adopt as positive an attitude as is possible to our diets so that we look at what we can eat rather than dwell on what we have to avoid.

My favourite is the Almondy tart. I believe they do 4 different ones but I can only get one variety in Sainsbury's. They are delicious and the whole family love them. Also if you ever get to America the Gluten Free Pantry does really good cake, bread & pancake mixes.

I have lots of favourites, including pretty much the whole Eskal range (chocolate and lemon wafers, deli crackers, chocolate pretzels etc). Something I've found recently is "Amaizin" Organic and gluten free Corn Chips (like Doritios but probably a bit healthier. They have a few different flavours but I like the Paprika best. I got them in Planet Organic in London (Devonshire Place). Right now I've made a batch of pancakes using Mrs Crimbles Pancake mix. They came out pretty well I think. Might add a pinch of salt next time though. Other favourites include Juvela Crostini and Biscotti bites (only available online at the moment) and Kallo Organic chocolate rice cakes. Ooh all this is make me hungry and I'm supposed to be on a diet!!

I forgot about Almonds - M&S do a gorgeous GR Frangipan

When I finished one of my work contracts, I took in some cakes for the team, and also took along a GF Frangipan so I wouldn't be left out - when I went to get a piece, there was only a tiny bit left, and the chocolate cake hadn't been touched - they'd all eaten my GF choice !!!!!

This is fantastic, so many new products to try now and they all come recommended. Keep it going please

I've recently discovered that M&S do a Turkey Crown ready stuffed and Gluten Free - not tried it and definitely not cheap - but possibly worth a try :D

For eating out - Salt Bars and Wetherspoons mark up their menus and will accommodate requests :D

Thanks Le Bistrot Pierre also put g by their gluten free options. The food is delicious and if you can get at lunch time there are two courses for ten pounds and the early diners is another good option

Have visited Le Bistrot Pierre - and they get my vote. It was a welcome change that they knew what they were doing and their menu states that they work with the Coeliac Society.

Glad you enjoyed your visit. I have never been disappointed there.
