Hi guys. I want to get some health insurance so I was wondering if you will know which one will cover my coeliac problems?

I think that most health insurance will not cover existing conditions - but hopefully somebody else can help.

ok, thanks! So then which one is the best one to have for routine stuff like, consultations, blood tests, investigations like I don't know endoscopy, colonoscopy ..things like that?

Those sound like tests related to gut issues. I'm sorry I can't advise companies to try, I have not had private insurance for years.

Blood tests can be reasonably priced to order on-line (depending on what you want) and then discuss with your GP.

The reason I'm asking for a company is that I had some health issues and with this pandemic is been horrendous to go through the NHS. I don't want to depend on the NHS system anymore.

Have you been diagnosed with coeliac disease, or are you undergoing diagnosis?

Endoscopy/colonoscopy aren't typically routine tests, they're one offs for diagnosis, so I'm just unsure where you sit in the diagnosis stream?

Most won't cover pre-existing or chronic conditions, like thyroid or coeliac. You'd potentially be covered for diagnosis, but it would depend how far along the line of diagnosis you are, and it would be something you'd have to call to discuss whether they'd take you on at your stage.

Private insurance wouldn't cover anything further to do with your coeliac disease - we have private insurance, and my partner's coeliac is excluded as a pre-existing and chronic condition.
