Oh you poor thing. The only thing that does it for me is bed rest and lots and lots of water. If you feel up to making ginger tea that really helps too. Find the recipe on Pinterest. Ginger is fab at soothing the gastric cramp. Hope this helps.

Check out it isn't anything else. I am 76.- 54 years ago I started getting severe abdominal cramps very intermittently. Coeliac hardly thought about then and after the usual barium meal and gaviscon I gave up. then 30 years ago I had a hysterectomy and was told they had also removed the appendix as it was in a bad state as though i had had appendicitis and not realised it!!! A year later a homoeopath, without me mentioning abdominal pain, diagnosed wheat intolerance and after cutting it out all the agony stopped apart from slight continuous growling inside . I then realised that I needed to cut out rye and barley as well. This year I had to eat gluten for 6 weeks before a coeliac test. It was extremely unpleasant and exhausting but not agonising and I wonder if some healing has taken place over the years and if this is possible.

Is this as a result of gluten getting into your diet or is it independent of being 'glutened'?

If it's stomach pain, then activated charcoal can be really helpful. Take as soon as possible, and drink lots of water as it can cause constipation if you don't.

You can buy it from health food shops (and pharmacies in the US)
