Steak pie

Just made my husband a steak pie using just roll gluten free puff pastry bought at morrisons absolutely fantastic. Usually I'm not impressed but I would thourally recommend this.

I have no idea what a steak pie is, but can you substitute quinoa or buckwheat for the steak? I know this may seem like a ridiculous question since I don't know what that meal is. The reason I asked the questions is because I feel better on a plant-based diet.

Steak pie is chunks of beef underneath a pastry crust. Perhaps you could substitute the beef with some chunks of vegetables?

I once made chili and my brother only eats it if meat is in it. I soaked a cup of cracked bulgur wheat In a can of tomato juice that was brought to a boil. I let it soak for about an hour. The end result was it looked like little bits of ground beef. I put it in the chili. My brother did not notice the difference, but was angry when I told him what it was.
