Hi I found that most gluten free breads are very high in fibre and as I suffer from IBSD my stomach cannot cope with the high fibre. Have tried making my own gluten free bread and this works out not so high in fibre and can eat a few slices of this but I must not overdo it. Hope this helps.
It might be the fibre content or it might be the thickener Hydroypropyl Methylcellulose. It seems to cause digestive problems for some people, along with some other additives like xanthan gum which crop up in some ready made gf foods.
I have problems with a number of glutafin items including their flours. As yet I haven't had an appt with the dietician but it is something I will need to discuss with her, I was thinking it could be to do with the codex.
