Has anybody had problems with a natural chemical called tyramine which is in certain foods and can cause atrial fibrillation.

Not heard of that one but am very interested to know which foods the chemical is in. I suffer from palpitations and an irregular heart beat.

Hi, tyramine is in quite a lot of dried fruit especially dried apricots, ripe bananas, if you look on the web its all there. Olives affect me too . I seem to be getting more and more alergic to lots of things. I have suffered with hayfever for nearly 40 years snd before that dermatitis. Anne
