If you have been listening to the gluten free summit then you will be aware of the Cyrex gluten sensitivity / cross reactive arrays and other immunological panels being discussed. They are now available in the UK through a lab called Regenerus regeneruslabs.com/ I have used them myself and for my family and clients and they are brilliant - I have also summarised some information on the tests if anyone is interested advancenutrition.co.uk/site...

Hi bicycle,

Thanks very much for the info.

I have a friend who may be struggling at the moment. Standard coeliac tests have come back negative but many of the symptoms match for gluten sensitivity. Have you any idea how much the Cyrex tests cost to have done if you have to go private?

Hi Regalbirdy - each array varies in cost - a clinic like mine can ordered them direct from the US so it varies also a little with the dollar but roughly the wheat and gluten panel is around £220-£250 which includes a 15 mins chat to go through the results too and explain what they mean - that array which is array 3 includes the following

Wheat IgG

Wheat IgA

Wheat Germ Agglutinin IgG

Wheat Germ Agglutinin IgA

Native + Deamidated Alpha-Gliadin-33-mer IgG

Native + Deamidated Alpha-Gliadin-33-mer IgA

Alpha-Gliadin-17-mer IgG

Gamma-Gliadin-15-mer IgG

Gamma-Gliadin-15-mer IgA

Omega-Gliadin-17-mer IgG

Glutenin-21-mer IgG

Glutenin-21-mer IgA

Gluteomorphin+Prodynorphin IgG

Gliadin-Transglutaminase IgA

Transglutaminase-2 IgG

Transglutaminase-2 IgA

Transglutaminase-3 IgG

The cross reactive panel is similar price - a little cheaper and includes

Should have also mentioned that like other antibody tests you would need to be eating gluten to do the gluten panel. If you have taken in out but still want to do the test you can introduce it for 2 weeks - eating the equivalent of 1/2 slice toast a day then you need to wait around 20-25 days for the antibody levels to rise then take the blood test.

Does your clinic also do genetic testing?

AdvanceNutrition profile image
AdvanceNutrition

Yes - there are whole range of genetic tests now available via practitioners such as myself including the HLA gene but also others such as those linked with Crohn's disease, poor methylation, sulphation, neurotransmitter function, thyroid DI02 etc. Please contact the clinic for further information
