Does anyone have restless legs and flu like symptoms after being glutened, plus I felt very angry yesterday which is not in my character

Hi Hollyberry, I get a really bad reaction when glutenned including flu like symptoms and my glands swell up, so with the runs and sickness it's more like gastric flu. Irritability is also a common effect of gluten on a coeliac and here's a link to this same question posted on here:

Jerry, that link could be me, I have been Coeliac 12 years now, but this is one of the worst feelings, I am on hols in Melbourne, and have been to a few barbies and been a bit lax, not checking, when people seem to know what they are doing, still here for another 6 weeks and I will be back on strict watch. Thanks for your response and concern.

Hi Hollyberry, as you're in Melbourne you are in the home of the Sillyyak bakery, this started as a dedicated gluten free bakery, cafe in the Northcote area of Melbourne. The business was sold when the original owners retired and the business has outlets all over Australia. The cafe was sold but that has now closed but the shop next door is now selling their products:

Flu like symptoms are also a sign of an allergy, I have found my allergy and once symptoms it starts I take an antihistamine which clears up the symptoms. It took over seven years to establish my allergy, far easier to do elimination diet etc if that could be the cause, it helped me.

Yes, i've had flu like symptoms and restless legs in the past. Whenever I have flu like symptoms, caused by gluten or not, I'm in a worse mood in general.

Yes, I get flu-y symptoms, mostly aches and pains all over my body and a stuffy head. I am also a completely different person - when glutened I have serious mood swings, irritability, feeling low, and lash out at the slightest thing. Worst feeling ever!
