This depends on how big the Bristol, Bath area is. Last summer we paid several visits to Corfe Castle area and ate here each time because they offered as real choice for coeliacs - visit-dorset.com/food-and-d...

They do a GF cream tea. When you find somewhere with choice it's good to go back and much easier than having another hunt!

I hope someone comes up with something a bit closer for you, and if not Corfe is a great day out. We also found places in Swanage that had the knowledge, expertise and attitude to welcome coeliacs.

Thank you for your recommendation. Force castle is a bit far at the moment but will definitely keep a note of this place. Thanks again.

There is a little cafe in central Bath near the cathedral that serves gf cake, not sure about cream tea but the cake is fab!!

If you walk past the fudge factory you come to a little square with a big tree in the middle and the cafe is just on your left. Enjoy!

Hi there, the Pump rooms serve a gf cream tea,

The cafe at the Avon railway station at Bitton (on the A431 Bristol to Bath rd and cycle track) serve Honeybuns individually wrapped gluten free cakes, they also sometimes have gf Polenta cake and a gf chocolate cake that looks amazing, I've never tried it as I worry about cross contamination and the Honeybuns cakes are a safe bet and they're really nice.

Hi Jerry, many thanks for the information. I live in Bath and I am ashamed to say I didn't know the pump room did GF cream teas. May give it a try for my sisters birthday. Thanks.

Hi dinger, Bath tourist information list places that cater for gf and there are some places that look well worth checking out:

visitbath.co.uk/eating-and-...

It strikes me that gf info is all over the place and when I did jury service after it finished I discovered a cafe serving gf food just around the corner from Bristol Crown court.

So when I find somewhere new I put it on: coeliacmap.com/ and I think it would be a good idea if we all did the same. And you enjoy your sisters birthday and good for you for going to the trouble of finding a gf cream tea.

Thanks for all the useful information. I am the only coeliac in my family and I always feel a bit of a nuisance when we go out to eat , trying to find something that I can eat. Will definitely get the coeliac map app. Thanks again.
