Gastroscopy aftermath!
I had a
gastroscopy
yesterday evening. He went down into my stomach and small intestine. I've had a few of these in the past - the last one 20 years ago. I cannot remember feeling quite so bruised and sore as I did last night and still do.

Hi everyone, having my first colonoscopy and
gastroscopy
tomorrow, to say I am stressed is an understatement, keep imagining all sorts of things, any advice on how to handle the anxiety would be greatly appreciated.

Advice
After a
gastroscopy
, I was diagnosed with an esophageal ulcer. The gastroenterologist prescribed me pantaprozole. After many studies and a call to Fizer, I discovered that Ibrance does not work fully with ppi. I do not know how to take both medications for these problems.

Odd pressure pain when sitting down or laying down on back!.
Despite CT scans and colonoscopy/
gastroscopy
no explanation apart from some diverticulitis. Weight has fluctuated enormously and ive had unexplained iron deficiency for maybe 10 Years.

varices
I would like to thank all the people who replied the variety of experiences made me do more research and I found that Carvedilol and omeprazole are just as effective as banding, however I will ask for a further
Gastroscopy
in a year or two. As Iâve had a serious bleed before probably over reacted.

varices grade 2
My consultant physician did a surveillance
Gastroscopy
which showed 2 varices grade 2, as I was taking Carvedilol twice daily he has decided no further action is required. Having had a burst varice in the past which put me in hospital for a week.

Omeprazole and Acid Reflux after Gastroscopy
Before my
gastroscopy
, I was well for about 6 weeks with no probs, since the procedure, I have had the constant feeling that I have a lump in my throat, and now feel like I have something stuck. I was told by the gastro that these symptoms were acid reflux.

Monitoring
They asked for annual ultrasound and
gastroscopy
and gave him annual appointments. Due to Covid these were then done over the phone in 2020 and 2021. In 2021 they said the next appointment would be 2023 as he was still drinking.

Following a
gastroscopy
a few weeks ago I ended up with a cold, then a sore throat, followed by a flare up of my Sjögrenâdâs. I had a 2 hour emergency appointment with an Opthalmologist who scanned my eyes and was brilliant. She gave me different eye drops and is changing the lenses in my glasses.)
