Is anyone using posaconazole for aspergillosis? I have been using Sporanox (branded itraconazole) but consultant wants me to change to posaconazole as he says it's more effective and has fewer side effects (I didn't have any side effects with Sporanox that I'm aware of).
Any feedback would be welcome, thanks.
We have many patients on posaconazole, it works well for most people. The support group at facebook.com/groups/aspergi... would be a good place to ask this question.
Buna, am aspergiloza cronica, am fot operata de ori, am si bronsiectaie, la a doua operatie era aspergilom, inainte de a doua operatie aveam aspergiloza invaziva diagnosticata cu teste de sange. Eu iau voriconazol. Abia acum dupa 4 ani neintrerupti de tratament simt ca am o schimbare. Am scris povestea mea la inceput cand m-am inscris pe forum. Acesti 4 ani sunt o continuare la ceea ce am scris atunci. Doar numai medicul tau hotareste cu ce continui. Voriconazolul da reactii adverse urate, dar m-am obisnuit si acum vad schimbari ,ma simt mai bine, chiar daca e o boala care nu se vindeca. Vad mucegaiul in sputa des.
