Has anyone managed to introduce this into their lungs? Mine are partying.

Aspergillious exacerbation….any idea of the next steps? I have Chronic allergic pulmonary Aspergillius and this is the first I’ve ever grown anything as generally it’s allergic.

A. versicolor is commonly associated with damp buildings so you may have inhaled this species while visiting a damp building and this has shown up in a clinical sample..

Alternatively, A. versicolor is regularly found in the lungs of people with ABPA (academic.oup.com/mmy/articl... so it may well be the causative agent of your allergy. This occurs when spores are inhaled and are not quickly eradicated by our immune system, instead they germinate and grow, triggering sensitisation and allergy.

This is usually treated with oral steroids and sometimes an antifungal drug.

It was found in my sinuses and the dr stated it was environmental contamination. I literally felt this spread across my face scalp into my throat. Developed nodules on vocal cords and 2 years later had invasive fungal infection but not A. Versicolor. Candida was found. Treat for 3 weeks but then the facial sinus and throat issues came right back. Told face was unknown type of acne… never tested again. Back to trouble swallowing. How Do I get help with this. Drs Do not listen!

Inform & build a relationship with an Allergy Specialist that has knowledge of this issue 🙏🏻 They can guide you as they’re trained, sometimes though it’s difficult to find the proper Dr but hey 👋 at least you know what direction you need to go and to approach handling it. Don’t wait ………Peace

I know what you mean. My family has been dealing with a systemic yeast overgrowth for 2.5yrs and doctors won't listen. I had testing done by naturopath to confirm but still I can't get treatment.
