Safety of Covid vaccines

What is the safety evidence of the Covid19 vaccines for people with autoimmune disorders? I have APS, Sjogrens, hypothyroidism, aspergillus tracheobronchitis, suspected myositis, suspected colitis.

I think that is a question for a vaccine group or your GP rather than a specialist fungal infection group. I know that all aspergillosis patients with chronic and acute forms of aspergillosis are currently all being vaccinated and I know of no problems arising.

GPs know nowt. Reassuring that no problems with aspergillus patients noted so far. Think it just has to be a leap of faith.

This was published this week - it has some reassuring information in it for people with autoimmune disease so read right through it although it is mostly about measuring how many people such as yourself are feeling hesitant about being vaccinated thelancet.com/journals/lanr...

Specifically:

However, although data are still scarce, results of previous studies on vaccines against other viruses are reassuring; few adverse events and disease flares in patients with autoimmune diseases have been described.4

The possibility of the occurrence of adverse events should therefore not be a reason to not recommend vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 in patients with autoimmune diseases, especially because results of previous studies suggest that these patients can be at increased risk of severe COVID-19 disease.5

Therefore, physicians of patients with autoimmune diseases should actively encourage their patients to get vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2, because this can contribute considerably to a reduction in COVID-19 related morbidity and mortality.
