Can anyone please advise on the best way to get tested for what kind of fungal infection I have. I've been told from numerous doctors that it is fungal sinusitis and there is nothing they can do apart from give me constant antibiotics and steroid drops

Try getting referred to the Manchester Clinic that specialises in Aspergillosis.

You are best to go on a Candida diet and forget about the chemicals that make it worse.

I am a little confused with what you write. If you already know you have fungal sinusitis why do you need to test for fungal infection? Regardless it is possible and feasible to test for infections such as aspergillosis via blood tests looking at IgE and IgG levels.

Depending on which type of fungal sinusitis you may have there are treatments described at aspergillus.org.uk/treatmen... for aspergillosis and more generally karger.com/Article/Abstract...

That's where I'm lost. Last year I was tested negative for aspergillosis. That came back negative. I seen a ent doctor who said it was fungal. He gave me a a long course of antibiotics and steroid drops. My infection always comes back. Docs send sample off comes back positive then get more antibiotics and drops. A few weeks later it starts all over again. The infection has ate away the middle of my nose, I've also had a mri and now I have a enlarged prolactin and reffered me to a hormone specialist. My doctor doesn't have any knowledge of fungal infections. It's like they don't exist.

Normal treatment for sinusitis is to try to improve drainage by giving antibiotics and steroids. Even in the case of fungal sinusitis that can help, however if it keeps returning (as it often does) then surgery is often the next step.

Aspergillus is not the only possible infecting fungus, so a test designed to pick up Aspergillus could be negative and you could still have a fungal infection. It sounds like you need to be referred to a specialist in fungal infection - so perhaps an infectious diseases specialist or ENT? The National Aspergillosis Centre in Manchester might accept a referral too.
