Ringworm?

I’ve just spotted this circular dryish and slightly raised blemish in my 4 year olds arm. Any ideas?

Looks like you noticed it early. I'd use tea tree oil; Rub it on 3-5 times a day. Worked well for my grandchild.

It is possible that that is ringworm - if concerned see your doctor for examination & tests as that is the only way to be sure.

Ringworm is a kind of skin disease caused by fungus. It may affect anywhere on the skin like face, chest, hands, neck, and legs. It occurs in nails, feet, skin in between the fingers, etc.

Signs and symptoms of Ringworm:

As it affects the upper skin layer, it can be identified easily. Some of the most common signs of ringworm include

Itchy and redness of the skin: Developed patches on the surface in red or pink color. Mostly it leads to itching and burning some times.

Changing the color of the skin: Ringworm affected areas are subjected to skin discoloration.

Patches on the skin: Gradually the red spots grow.

Burning sensation in between fingers and toes.

Dry skin: Skin also tends to become dehydrated.

Getting painful and itchy when we wear shoes or sandals whenever the feet are affected.

If you have any above symptoms you can expect it as ringworm. However you should consult any dermatologist.
