At home , but in a lot of pain

Hi all,

I'm on my second round of immunotherapy which is yervoy and opdivo. I don't seem to be having a lot of side effects other than pretty bad pain on my right side which I think is probably my liver.

Pain is a significant side effect, and you should be talking to your doc about it, especially if you think it is your liver. Our livers clean out the toxins, and it is possible that your liver cannot handle the therapy. It may feel like a Catch-22, but it most likely isn't. I had liver ca and so when the breast cancer came around with all its rigorous therapy, my liver balked loud and clear. Instead of taking me off chemo they modified it so that my liver was not so stressed. Please, please let your docs know what is going on so they can best help you and protect your lifer.

You are keeping your doctors informed, I hope. Fingers crossed that this is something that can be dealt with and that you can continue on treatment.
