I am so sorry to hear this Pandora8205. My husband has finished his 3rd round of Opdivo also scheduled for 4th this coming Tuesday the 23rd. This week he has started complaining of increased chest pain also with a terrible cough. He also has paralyzed vocal cords. He was inoperable. He has already went through the traditional Chemo and radiation that failed. Has been on one other trial. So I don't know where we go from here. I will lift you up in prayer and please keep us updated.

Collinjo,

Hoping this trial works. The care you'll receive in a trial is excellent. And for so many trials have been the answer to their prayers and that is my wish for you

Just yesterday I was told Opdivo not working after 8 treatments. Cancer cells in lung fluid that wont go away. This will be my 3rd level treatment. Not sure what to think.... Dr. says that there are options on table like clinical trials. He has other chemo he can try. I'm heading off to my 2nd opinion dr. next week to see what he says. He is at Abramson Cancer ctr in Philly. He said the Opdivo treatment was the next protocol after the original chemo stopped working ( shrunk tumor but cancel cells stayed in fluid ). I will keep a positive outlook for me and family. Prayers to all on this thread dealing with poor Opdivo results.

Very sorry to hear that Immuno has stopped working. There are other options but the disappointment of progression after any treatment can be devastating. Hoping and praying for better new for all.

OH Gosh....!!

SO very sorry to hear from all of you who had been on Opdivo and not had the results we all so want and hope for. I do hope that you'll all find new treatment options and will work better.

There is just so much we still do not know and understand about the Immunotherpay meds....why do they work so well for some, why do some experience terrible side effects, and why do they not work at all for others. I sure WISH we knew all the answers.

Best of luck to you all...

I'm sorry, this is difficult news for you to get. Sending best hopes that you qualify for the clinical trial and best wishes as you decide what your next best option is.

I'm sorry for the news Collinjo1. Just keep you head up. there are many options for this kind of cancer, so don't loss faith because 1 doesn't seem to be working.

Just a heads up; that the FDA approved this immunotherapy drug Keytruda in combination with a chemotherapy drug. Ill try to send the link to you. ( if this site will let us) The question is how do we let our Oncologist know about such treatments? Are we only to accept what ever the Oncologist only recommends? I'm trying to research as much as i can about this disease on behalf of my father, so i'll be armed with as much info, as I can. But seems like my dad has become attached to his oncologist. Just want all the possible remedies covered. How do you guys approach this?

Keep smiling.
