I have stage 4 lung cancer metastasized to my brain and am one getting Keytruda. I find that I am exhausted about a week after infusion. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi my hubby has just completed his third treatment of keytruda,

He is tired so he sleeps for 2-3 hours in the day... then he is awake at night, until 1pm.

He has had radiotherapy to his chest... so it's difficult to know his shortness of breath is treatment related or it's the effects of radiotherapy starting...

But generally he is tired on the 2nd week.

That has been my experience too. I had radiation over the summer along with chemo and sailed through it. This Keytruda although a miracle drug is kicking my behind!

I am not familiar with Opdivo, but assume it is an immunotherapy drug. Good luck!

I was on the trial for Keytruda and came off two years of treatment in October of 2015. I don't ever remember being that tired. In fact, I drove over 200 miles down to the hospital and 200 miles back, every time, every other week for two years and felt fantastic. Prior to that I'd gone through two 10 weeks bouts of carbon drugs and radiation so maybe I just felt so much better getting off those treatments. I wish you the best.

Keytruda does make me more tired. But if it keeps me alive I can take it.

Hello,

My husband just had his second infusion of keytruda. He too is very tired and out of sorts after a week. He receives treatment every three weeks. He just starts to feel strong again and it is time for the next treatment. 2 years ago he had chemo and radiation. Cysplaten and etopside . He breezed through 6 weeks of treatment. He was much healthier then. This round had been really hard on him. He now is stage 4 and spread to the bones so he is much sicker to start off. Hoping the Keytruda works. Bill is 74 and has a zest for life and I strong will to live. We drive 300 miles to CANCER Treatment Center of America. CTCA takes great care of him.
