Yep we still get colds. We just still have to be a bit more proactive about management. Instead of waiting the 10-14 days to see your dr make it 6 or 7.
The past week I've been layed up with a doozy. When I started to feel a bit better but still experienced lots of trouble breathing I saw my dr. The cold triggered an asthmatic exacerbation that didn't improve. My inhaler helped a bit but only temporarily. I'm now on steroids (lovely steroids, sleepless steroids, make me crabby steroids, ugh...steroids). Now, 7 hrs after the first dose I can walk across the room again.
I've missed reading your news but plan to get caught up in the next few days.

Ouch, sounds miserable! Although we have really missed your wise voice and compassionate support, we definitely want you to take whatever time you need to get back on your feet. Steroids are certainly a double edged sword, aren't they, the medication you can't live with and can't live without! ha-ha
I noticed you've been quiet lately. Sorry to hear the reason why. I hope you can kick the steroids to the curb and get back to being your feisty self in short order.
The steroids seem to be wearing off and sleep seems a possibility tonight. I see we've new people and returning people. Welcome all.
denzie hope your feeling better steroids and me don't mix well .I have a rare form of psoriasis, they break me out so if a dr says steroids I run as fast as I can. Hope you will be back soon. with love Jo
