Hello everyone, bad news for me. On Jan 17th I was taken off the trial I was in. Had a very bad allergic reaction to the trial drug. So yes I got the drug it was Atezolizumab. I have been really sick since then, just now coming out of it. My Doctor did agree to do genomic and molecular testing through a new biopsy and a liquid biopsy once this round of chemo is done. I hope to have some type of mutation that will work with me and my body. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Kym

Kym, I'm so sorry. This is why they have trials, and the doctors learned a lot from you, but you have been through a tough time. I was booted from a trial once myself, and it's always abrupt and unsettling. Here's hoping that something useful turns up in the mutation testing. It sounds like you have a doctor who is going to battle right by your side.

Hang in there..........It's only the 1st try........there's so much more out there now that'll help us. I know they'll find the right combinations to get you better. I'm a firm believer that your Mental Attitude goes a long way to over coming this. Remember....Cancer is just a word...not a way of life.!

Sorry, that is so disappointing, I can only imagine how that felt. And to be so sick on top of that disappointment - makes you want to scream. But your doctor sounds ready to keep fighting and so let's see what he comes up with next! There will be something else to turn to.

Rest, heal, look to the future...this too shall pass. And, oh ya, hugs.

Kym105 so sorry to here that,don't give up there will be something else for you. the first treatment I had was taxol I had a very bad reaction they didn't think I was going to pull out of it. They tried alot o stuff before I came out of it,on top of that it was my birthday happy bday. I'll be thinking of you and hoping things go better for you. Jo
