Feel alone

Just would like to talk to people that is going through the same thing as me.  Feel all alone sometimes.  It's scary when I can't get a deep breath and have trouble breathing.  Feel like people just don't understand.

I never know how I feel day to day.  Maybe feel good one day out of the week.  Do my nebulizer twice a day.  Suffer from anxiety, nebulizer meds makes it worse.  I hate doing my nebulizer, but it does help. One day at a time is all I can do.  Thank you for sharing.  Hope you have a Blessed day.

I understand I am currently battling stage four metastatic lung cancer with my husband....it is a lonely feeling and truthfully people who have never experienced this cancer before don't understand.I lost my mom from small cell type A lung cancer she was 55. Just know you are in my thoughts. Darla Finn

Some time it feels like the air is too thick to breath but if you slow down and think about cold air it helps release the panic button.

I have stage 3B lung cancer.  The pollen certainly does make it more difficult to breathe. I try to not allow my mind to think about the cancer by reading, praying, or doing work.  I ask God every morning to give me renewed strength to get through today and He is faithful. Without Christ in my life, I would not have the strength to face another day.  If you do not know Him as your personal Savior, I pray today you will seek Him.  He will give you strength you don't have and faith that He has everything under control.  Stop fighting this battle on your own.  Christ is the great healer and He cares about you.

God bless you.

I know how you feel. Trying to stay positive but actually feel doomed

Yes it is hard. I feel doomed at least 100 times a week. I try to do something constructive when the feeling comes over me. Lately it's been writing hand written letters to friends and pen pals. Hope this helps.

Talking to others is helpful and just keeping busy even just online games or reading, even facebook really helped me! I dont feel as alone usually, although at times its just going to be there, then is when you need to busy your mind, educate yourself further about youf illness and treatments, fill your time and the negatives will be pushed out! Use your makeup, get ahold of a wig( you can get them inexspnsibly online or at the American Cancer Society if youve lost hair, paint your nails, pretty yourself! Luvly2457

I don't think people understand that don't have breathing problems.  When I have trouble getting deep breath, I panic.  Makes it worse.  I did get a massage yesterday and it helped some.

I am a 2 time NSCLC survivor. 2 surgeries but I'm still hanging in & turn 71 next week.  I do understand the loneliness feelings even in the midst of people who care   There were times I wanted someone to cry with me so when they would smile & say everything going to be ok it sort of hurt because they didn't know that

Dying is not what scared me, it was the process of dying.   This is how I cope ( dr told me each new cancer probability is greater each time) God is in control, not me, not doctors    I will not live one second longer than His plans for me nor will I die one second sooner.  So peace in your heart is better than air in your lungs

I hear you! Its hard especially long term when you know people dont want to hear your troubles, Ive even been accused of "playing the victim" by my own granddaughters while I was fighting both adenocarcinoma of the right upper lobe and renal cell carcinoma at the same time and had already had my left two upper lobes removed for previous squamous cell carcinoma. Imagine that! So it kind of made me hesitant to talk to anyone about it at all! So here I am among those who truly understand. I know my story seems crazy but its true and only part of the story. May you find peace and welcoming arms here.

Have you tried pulmonary rehab? It gives you ways to deal with exercise (walking), stairs and outside issues. I had it two years after my lobectomy. I was feeling like you then my lung dr recommended pulmonary rehab and I am a totally new person. NOT BACK TO OLD NORMAL BUT A VERY GOOD NEW NORMAL!
