Question
Husband had 3-mo. blood work yesterday and I was checking for results on portal when I noticed MO had notation for 7/11 appointment: "Creatine (ISTAT) radiology to draw." Have no idea why it's there, seems like something to do with a scan, but she knows he can't tolerate scans and has refused them lately

I hate waiting at the Doctor's office, I lost it!
I finally gave in and went to the doctor's office today. I hurt my elbow almost two weeks ago. I can't even lift a bottle of water. It is very painful. I called the clinic and they gave me an appointment at 2:00. I am a few minutes early. They send me down a hall I've never been to and say go in the

Saw ortho surgeon today. he says my choice shoulder surgery or not. would definitely recommend for younger person, at my age "optional", my choice. no surgery would likely result in a more or less 30% loss of strength and ability to lift arm overhead. surgery is 1.25 to 1.5 hours likely anesthetic propofol

T-11 fracture! No wonder it hurts!
Yesterday, my husband drove me three hours roundtrip to see new rheumatologist (useless) and my pain specialist of several years (always helpful). Later ordered x-rays and gave me prescribed for opiates that have no NSAIDs or Tylenol. Also gave me shot of Toradol. This is an injectable NSAID that

Worried about reherniation...
I had a laminectomy discectomy on June 12, 2018. Recovery went well except I had severe nerve damage so my recovery was a little slower than expected. On the weekend of my one year anniversary I had a yard sale and picked up a large tote I thought was light, but was indeed heavy. Immediately I had a

Imitrex and anxiety
I’m recently enduring a series of migraines probably due to weather. I am finding that my imitrex worsens my anxiety symptoms especially palpitations. Am I nuts or have any of you experienced this? I was afraid to take it this am so ended up having iv toradol. Only helped a little.

Saw the doctor
For the many of you who have shown kind support through my maddening sciatica ordeal, I just want you to know I saw my GP today. He took blood and an x-ray, gave me a toradol (?) shot and some pain meds. Still hurts, but not as much. BP was through the roof, but he said that was likely due to pain. Best

Interesting ER Experience
Ended up in the er with pneumonia and a headache that had me in tears. They finally gave me the headache cocktail of benedryl, toradol, and compazine. The nurse warned me that compazine can cause anxiety. I did not have those side effects, but it almost immediately kicked my severe Rls into high gear

Need advice, PV symptoms?
Hi everyone, I’m new here but hoping I may bother you for some advice and hopefully talk me off the ledge of hypochondria? My doctor is on vacation and I feel like I may finally be putting together the puzzle of my health issues over the last few years. It all started a couple years ago with increasingly

I turned 48 on Friday and yesterday my mother in law put me down again and it hurt 😞
I was taken out for my birthday yesterday with my husband his mom and dad! It was nice until his mom once again started in on me and embarrassed me in the restaurant and I just thought to myself. She humiliated me at my bachelorette party and before we get married she said “ my son better not have to

Post ablation syndrome
I’m new to this forum stuff but I’m hoping there’s someone out there with advice. I’m 35 and have had horrible periods ever since I can remember. I’ve been on various forms of birth control but I don’t like the effects hormones give me. I get really depressed and already have a history of that. I’ve

First ablation scheduled
Hi and looking forward to learning from this site. Scheduled for first ablation in two weeks for a fib. Been on Flecainide since 2005 and now having break through beats. Also had pacemaker insertion due to slow rate from Toradol. Nervous about procedure and outcome. Thank you for any input.

Intermittent "migraine" in back of head for months following car accident
Pain and headaches in back of head started after car accident and has been recurrent ever since ( 7 months). Son hit back of head on head rest after being slammed into from behind while stopped at a light. Impact bolted him into car ahead. 3 cars totaled. Dazed after accident. Went to ER. Only evidence

Husband suffering from SEVERE headaches one week after diagnosis of Meningitus
My husband was hospitalized a week ago for Meningitis and treated for Bacterial since his white cell type leaned more towards that. He had 2 Lumbar Punctures and they determined meningitis. No doctor in the hospital could tell us anything about the disease or what the next step is. We were discharged
