My mum has this. It started after my Dad died 10 yrs ago.

She has problems mostly with her gums blistering and soreness, although she has also had blisters in her eyes.

Stress sets it off as well as touch , sharp foods etc.

She has been well controlled with medications and is followed up at the dental hospital regularly.

I was just diagnosed with Mucous Membrane Pemphigoid. They told me it’s rare and I can have multiple possible problems. They found it in my eyes. My left eye is stage 4 and my right is stage 1. I am starting to get small blisters on my arms, legs and feet but not just here and there, none in my mouth though. I get canker sores once and a blue moon but I have had those all of my life, sooo I don’t know.

I have also had a consistent coughing problem that wont go away. I have been treated twice for it with antibiotics and steroid but nothing helps. I do have allergy induced asthma. I have my first doctor appt tomorrow with a dermatologist to check me over for any positive skin tests that’s related to MMP. This is so surreal to me because I have always been blessed with a fairly healthy life. Bumming right now!

Sorry for the long read...just venting.
