Black flecks and blood in stool

Hi there,

Yesterday morning and afternoon I had black flecks in my stool and some small bits of red as well. This morning there is less black it is still there as well as more bits of blood and increased stomach pain and even more severe fatigue than normal. Does this indicate an upper GI bleed? What should I do?

Bearing in mind I can’t go to the doctors today because they are all shut!

Hi Alice, I don't usually reply to people on here, but only because I don't know the answer to the questions asked.

I don't know the answer to yours either .. but I had a similar problem four weeks ago and went to the doctors .. I had blood bright red but no black bits.

My suggestions is to go to your doctors, being the weekend and having to wait a day or two shouldn't make much difference to whatever problem you have, but honestly if you are experiencing stomach pain too then an A & E visit perhaps might be in order.

It could be something as simple as a stomach upset, .. so please do go to your doctors Sweetheart.

Sending you love, xx
