Human Being

Hello. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1990, and was invalided out of the RAF as a result. I had intended to make the RAF a lifelong career, and to be forced to leave after 16 years was a huge blow. The process of invaliding me out was fraught with stress and injustices. I was also diagnosed with lumbar disc lesion and hearing loss, which was noise induced. About 10 years later, I was told I had PTSD as a result of my service, which didn't come as a total surprise!

I now have osteoarthritis in all my joints, and recently had to have a prolapsed disc removed from my neck (C5/C6). The side effects from my meds are pretty horrible, but the worst one has been weight gain, caused by antipsychotics.

Apart from that, I'm fine! I am looking forward to seeing the posts in the communities I've joined.
