Hi I'm Nikki, I've been suffering for the last couple of years with severe right sided weakness and permanent migraines. I was told yesterday I have FND.

I am a bit confused as have no real idea what this is and if I'll ever get better.

You may have a rare form of migraine which causes weakness ..hemiplegic migraine . Need different medication if it is to other migraines . Not much is known about it .

I'm sorry to hear this. It can fluctuate for people or improve completely but not always. There's a very good couple of sites that you could look into this a bit more one is neurosymptoms.org and the other one is FNDhope.org. Apologies if you've already seen them but they are very helpful along with this forum where people share their experiences and knowledge etc. It sounds awful for you and I hope that you feel better soon. We all seem to have some quite different experiences with FND but we are not on our own. Personally I continue to seek answers for why it happens, blessings.
