I've found a way to talk properly again.

I also have watched the video about the Australian teacher, truly amazing. I also have FND amongst other things! But I find that I can't say words correctly. Much to my friends delight as it does sound funny but, if I put on an accent (which I am no good at) I can say the words perfectly. Same principle as the lady was saying about busying the mind. So have hope and do something totally different to achieve the same end goal.

Good that you problem solved and came up with a workable solution.

I lost my ability to pronounce words correctly a few years ago, as well as a diminished vocabulary. Word finding is a problem as well. My brain crashes with too much stimulation or quickly fatigues, then all goes downhill. Conversations are challenging as the same happens when talking or listening to another person, especially if they are going into any detail.

Could your purposeful/fake accent serve as a distractor (termed a "substitution" behavior in psychology) to your brain, so that you can talk normally? Does this mean one can retrain one's brain? Perhaps in some instances, but I believe some nonfunctional events occur that can not be explained or retrained, as such. I have repeated, daily events in which my brain experiences what seems to be momentary seizures, but with no warning, and are very sudden/instant. When they occur, there is nothing that I can do, and the seizure instantly stops everything that I am doing, leaving me unable to talk, walk, stand, or even think. My hearing and vision are diminished and I can not respond to anyone until the event passes. I suspect my blood pressure has rapidly and dramatically fallen at that precise moment. How does one retrain that?? Frankly, countless specialists have been of no help at all!
