My husband had bladder cancer. He found out 11 years ago. At first the Dr. suggested he have his bladder removed. He begged the Dr. not to and try what ever he had to do. He had 2 complete sets of BCG treatments. Thanking God he has been cancer free. We hope it continues this way. He is very thankful to the Dr. for all of his help and care in getting him thru this. I wish the best to all. Don't give up and have faith.

Husband went in for cystoscopy after 6 BCG treatments...I wasn't called back so I could ask questions(my husband is wonderful listener but won't ask questions) they told him 3 more BCG treatments and that he had two lymph nodes on chest they wanted to check out after the 3 treatments which will end June 16 BUT they didn't schedule him for CT Chest and ANOTHER cystoscopy until SEPT.1 !!! Can't imagine WHY the wait and of course that would have been one of my questions...I feel like it's a Medicare thing that there must be waiting period between cystoscopy's????

I have had 2 years of BCG treatment. It works for about two thirds of people, so hopefully your husband will be one of the lucky ones. If he's clear this time, he should start maintenance BCG, which is sets of three treatments, three months and then six months apart, for up to 3 years. Good luck.

Thanks for your input Chris...Always good to hear from someone that has been there...My husband is going to MD Anderson in Houston, Tx and that's the best place for treatment he can get , we have been very pleased with them... Best wishes for your recovery...

Hi, I was diagnosed with T1G3 in 1999. Luckily I was working for a physician and he sent me immediately to a Urologist and had a Turbt the next day and they started me on BCG right away. I have hat at least 15 rounds and in remission til 2008 and then 2 more rounds . I have been in remission this time since 09. I have cysto's yearly now !! I hope your husband has as good a result as I did !

Hello, On Tuesday I had my 1st cystoscopy after 6 weeks of BCG.

No Tumours evident, and Consultant said that it is looking quite encouraging.

My cancer seems to be the same as your Husband`s.

I too was concerned, but apprehension is probably the worst part. I wish him well and trust that with a positive attitude to this problem all will be well at his cystoscopy examination.

The examination itself takes less than 10 minutes and he should be able to see the inside of his bladder on screen, as the cysto takes place. An interesting, if slightly toe curling experience, although under local anaesthetic, quite a painless one!

Wishing you and your husband well and hoping for a good result on 02 June.

David

Hi David: Always good to hear positive results! This will be the third cysto for my husband but they sedate him to where he doesn't see anything.. Maybe because he has Afib occasionally ....Ready for June 2 to get results!

I had an operation just before Christmas and another in early January for High grade, aggressive , non invasive cancer. Nothing at all since then, no treatment, no calls back to hospital going for a blood test shortly but that is all. I feel great,

My husband has had nine BCG treatments.. We are now waiting until Sept.1 when they will do another cystoscopy and CT Scan on his chest (dr. says CT scan is unrelated to his bladder cancer but there are two lymph nodes in his chest look suspicious ....This waiting is awful! Good luck with the BCG treatments...

Sept 1 my husband had another cystoscopy Sept 1 and it had NO CANCER CELLS! Thank you Lord! He will be on maintenance for while which involves 3 BCG treatments with another cystoscopy in three months....He has tolerated the 12 BCG treatments he had very well had now that we have started on round 14 the BCG treatments seems to be putting him down for the first day and half and he goes to bed...This is doable he thinks compared to what many have had to go through...Hoping he continues to have "no cancer cells"!

Black see oil. Read up on this oil. Comes in liquid and capsules. Stay away from acidic foods, drink water constantly (needs to keep the bladder flush), exercise, stay away from sugar and rest the body as much as possible.
