Hello, I'm new here, I’m wondering if anyone here is suffering from small cell NEPC? If so I’d be very interested to hear what you are doing to fight this disease. Thank you!

Sorry if you've got NEPC, any form of prostate cancer deserves sympathy. I've never heard of NEPC before, so just quickly looked it up. Apparently it's quite rare, which is why I never heard of it. I also read that NEPC doesn't raise PSA levels so isn't easily detected.

I don;t think you can "fight" it in the normal sense of the word, i'e' make it go away, If diagnosed with it, I guess the first step would be other investigations e.g. CT, MRI and.or bone scan. Fighting it would then involve going through whatever treatment is offered. To help anyone through this they need to absorb as much information as they can and get as much support as they can. But deal with each stage of the process as it comes.

I read that surgery, radiation or chemotherapy may be appropriate for NEPC, so it;s a matter of knowing about these and their side effects and how to cope with these.

If you live in the UK Macmillan support and Prostate Cancer UK are both very informative and supportive organisations.
