Metertarsalgia becoming common with fibromyalgia patients.

Just been diagnosed with metertasralgia. Saw a foot specialist after having burning feet, severe toe pain and sensations. Also under my toes the muscle there has moved forward which feels like a big lump, which he told me that more and more people with fibro are experiencing this. He has given me insole supports which hopefully will correct it. I also have flat feet which makes it worse, but evidently that it quite common for us too. If you too have these symptoms it is worth seeing your GP for a referal.

Thank you for this information. Three times I have seen my GP about the pain in the soles of my feet and I've been told there's nothing he can do about it.

I have looked into what BBfreak said regarding her foot specialist saying that more cases of Metatarsalgia are being seen with people having Fibromyalgia, however statistically there is nothing to suggest there is a co-relation between the two conditions, just to reassure our members. It may be that he is seeing more people with Fibromyalgia and therein lies what he might have meant. Just to clarify. :)
