Bra's, big boobs grrr!!!

Ok not fibro related but ...............I hate bra shopping i mean really hate it! I am a 32HH and cannot buy of the peg so i have to order in bulk from Bravissimo but it kills me as i have just spent £303. now i know i wont keep all of them probably only 2 and will get a refund but it's gutting, we can't afford that much but i refuse to pay postage over and over so this is the only way. If i didn't scar so bad i would get a reduction but my sister had one and her scars are horrendous. i hate trying to examine myself as it is difficult with full boobs. My mum and gran have both survived breast cancer and i have asked about genetics and was referred but they said my risk was small to medium and due to the HRT they will start me on mamagrames at 40 so only 6 years to wait.

I don't understand these women who want such big boobs, mean theirs the back ache, neck ache and headaches oh and trying to get clothes to fit without looking like i'm wearing a sack or something sprayed on.

if i could go back to the que before i was born and ask for brains not boobs heheh ....!

Hi rachie, my sister in law and her 5 sisters were all tested for the gene after her mum was dx'd with breast cancer and my s-i-l and 2 sisters were scanned - 3 were under 40, I'd ask again and again until you get a "Yes".

Those stretchy bras are supposed to be good and you buy a size up if you have a larger cup. qvc let you try at home ans send back but you pay p&p.

regards,

sandra.

Hi Rachie my youngest daughter has they same problem with bras she's a gg she wanted to breast feed my grandson but he could only get her nipple in and non of the areola the bit round the nipple so she ended up with very very sore nipples and had to put him on a bottle as it hurt to much even to use the breast pump she'd bought she was gutted she really wanted to do it, she has a hell of a time tryingto find nice bras she's trying to lose some weight in the hope her boobs will shrink where as I've always been on the lower end of the scale the biggest I've ever been is a 40c and nio I wouldn't like bigger ones I have enough back ache. Sorry to hear you have to splash out so much cash just so you can have 2 bras especially when every penny is needed biiiiiiiig gentle hugs for you . Sirthy

I have a simpler problem and am a 44f. I get mine from Yours but I think it may only be a local shop in Gt Yarmouth.

Try looking on ebay they sell new bras and are much cheaper. I was brought 2 triumph bras by my parents and there expensive but so comfortable worth the money .

You could also try local department stores

Hope you can find some more affordable bras

Hi I have the same problem, but have found the solution you need to shop online at

brastop.com p&p is per order, and they are always doing promotions ! Happy Shopping.

The Yours shop does have a web site as we have a shop in Merry Hill and if ever I like something and they don't have it in stock the lady says try online.

I am only 5ft 1" and have 38 G bra size, the best bras I found were Katy Price Jordan, that had great fit and support and nice amount of coverage but Asda and Freemans catalogue don't seem to do them anymore. The 1st thing I do when I get home is unhook my bra n take it off although that can sometimes be really painful being bra less. When I was about 21 my mom & sister had the boobs of the family & I was 34 A, I used to dream of bigger boobs now that's 1 wish I wish never came true lol

Friend of mines daughter has a similar problem, they were using those little elasticated figure of eight things that hook two buttons together to keep things under control. Same thing with the school shop but a meeting with the headteacher to discuss the problem and the immenent clothing failure allowed the purchase of a better sized blouse outside the school shop. It may have helped that he was a single father and the dragon of a teacher spent the meeting with a head the colour of beetroot.

I had a breast reduction 18yrs ago, and although I have awful scars, I don't heal well, I'd rather have the scars than the discomfort of huge boobs. I wear the stretch bra (JML or ahhbra) when I'm in the house for comfort, they don't give a great shape for bigger boobs but it's worth it for the comfort and ease. Why anyone would every want uneccessary breast enlargements is beyond me too.

Thank you all for your help and i will check out those sites you have mentioned. I have always had big boobs from junior school and always had a tiny chest size in relation the the cup size which is where my problems start. I too couldn't breast feed but it was due to my nipples the never got big they are smaller then my little fingernail and didn't grow, i did have the nurse on my nipple for an hour trying to stimulate them but it wasn't to be, which was gutting but nearly 10 years on it has done no harm. Although if i ever met one of the nurses again i would give her a slap .... she wasn't even my nurse and had nothing to do with me but had a go at me saying i didn't try hard enough and my baby would lose out, cheeky bint.

Right ladies i'm off with my tiny chest oversized boobs and none existing nipples for my MRI catch you all later.

Gentle hugs xxxx rachie

I am a 44DD and recently swapped my bra to the bravisima type of Lycra bra you can buy from Asda for £12.99 each. I love them. They are so comfortable, back ache has decreased dramatically. The thing is underwired bras are bad for you. They transmit micro waves right into the breast tissue. Boobs are meant to jiggle, it helps the flow of lymph. Good lymphatic flow means less congestion in the breast tissue.

Hi ladies well went on brastop and spent another £100 so hopefully i will find a couple of bra's xxxx Rachie

Yup, my 36Js (I call them the twins!) have sympathy for you. Don't we have enough to deal with, with fibro pain, we have to deal with bad backs, bras that mash us and bruise us... trying to break in a new bra is horrible. I know they look vile and leave my boobs looking like my grandma's, but sometimes I end up wearing my maternity bras, just to give me a break!

I can completely understand where your coming from, we are charged more than the extra material costs to make the larger sizes 🙈🙈🙈🙈

Strangely for a male I spend sometime talking with my female friends about boobs and the problems with them. They bring it up not me, I am not diving into a conversation with "how's the boobs today", it's more moaning about backacke and straps cutting etc. I just thought I would mention that those whose mother and grand mother had a brush with breast cancer had a lot higher rating that what you mentioned. Two of them have had double mastectomies and one of them is going have one when a little older. I also think it is absurd that society forces women to attribute so much worth to the size of thier chest but it keeps doing it, to the extent that children want implants and stupid medical professionals are willing to disfigured them by doing it. Same goes for men and the size of thier tackle, bigger in a lot of cases means non functional after having one of these enlargement operations but you never see these warned about in the sleazy spam emails.
