That sounds horrible - what does your Doctor say is causing it?

Hi Julie

my doctor sent me for x-rays but found nothing wrong and suggested it may be to do with Fibro but didn't know and upper the Tramadol which has done nothing :o(

Ho Hum hugs to you x

I get numb patches on both thighs but then when they 'return' they are like needles, my gp says its down to all the injections I had in my thighs when I had my children (clexane) and also pain relief when I had my gall bladder removed.... I get sore patches on my feet (both top and bottom) but mainly top... plus the feeling of my feet swelling which they do but they feel worse than they look iykwim... hope you find some relief soon Jue-bug

I've been having the problem of pain in my right foot and feeling as though there is a stone or marble in my shoe for years. For 2 years my doc fobbed me off, told me it was metatarsalgia nd would go away on it's own - it didn't. Next she told me to go out and buy expensive supportive trainers with a wide toe box, tried that to no avail. I was getting nowhere so managed to get my hands on a refferal form, and self referred myself to a podiatrist. He struggled for two years, made me orthotics and had my feet x rayed and checked with ultrasound, but nothing was found, and eventually he discharged me, stating that if he couldn't find a cause, he couldn't treat it. In summer I can wear crocs and earth spirit sandals, heels are totally out of the question, so I can never look 'feminine'. In the colder and wetter months when I have to wear 'closed in' shoes I am unable to walk anywhere. Occasionally I even feel this pain when walking barefoot round the house, but as no-one can find the cause, I now must live with it. I hope you have better luck.

I have the same problem jue-bug been told I have heel spurs and planter f told nothing can be done except pain relief only relief I find is getting ice blocks that is for cool boxes and wrap thin towel and sit and look silly but I don't care if numbing then for some time gives me some relief I can't walk around supermarkets now without being in chronic pain with them so do it on line now. Hope u get some relief some how

yippee!(or not)) i have had exactly the same thing with my feet for 13 years since i first got poorly it feels like someone has opened up your feet and put loads of small stones under the skin and sewn them back up again,it really hurts to walk 'that is one of my problems,i said yipee! as i have never found anyone else wwho could relate to having that and now thare is someone! when i explained it to my g.p in the past she shrugged her shoulders, also a pain clinic couldn't tell me why....my friend suggested going to a podiatrist (but i can't afford it)

I accept yippee! as I've not found anyone with painful feet before either :o( I will steal your discription tho as it's better than mine. Had to google podiatrist tho lol

I think you can be referred by your GP so then will be free I will ask and let you know gentle foot hugs to you x

Hi Jue-bug, yes...get severe pains in soles+tops of my feet, also runs up my calves-it got so bad that I couldn't walk properly, crying with pain even just sat down. My GP decided to retry me on Gabapentin.. I'm taking1200mg a day,+most days I get some relief, its amazing! Wish it would work on all other pains tho..all the best x
