I am so sorry to hear that......I had the same problem but years ago,it is so unfare as some people I know don't have as much wrong as you have and get it first time...just with Fm. When I first applied I had CVFS and because I got through the medical to there satisfaction I was turned down. They never came back tho and saw me in bed for a week getting over the experience!!!!

Don't give up appeal again and get the CAB to help you to fill in the forms ,this is what we did for my husband, mind you this year they have downgraded him even tho he has got worse and we are appealing!!

Sending you positive vibes and Gentle Hugs x x :-)

I've been to the CAB, the JCP, DIAL and a local advice centre, they all said they had had their funding cut and now had no one to help.

As winter draws in I am stiffening earlier in the day. I don't know if I've got the fight left.

I think this is just another example of postcode lottery... I have low rate dla and have never been seen by anyone they just took my application and I gave them my gp for refs and pain clinic consultant ... But they refuse to accept I have mobility problems and fibro I just get it for the arthritis in my hands. The fact I can't drive turn my neck right walk with 2 sticks and can't use my mobility scooter alone as I can't look right they ignore.

Extremely frustrated by the way we are treated

it took me 2 years just kepy applying i went to cab this time they helped mr i alsp gave my doctor 4 pages of my symptons which he then wrote an excellent report that he found useful.... discuss it with gp and see what he says.

I've got a statement of fact, thats the only thing my GP will write. I've begged him for help and he said he decides what to write. I am on a waiting list at two other practices but long lists.

really sorry tibby, ask for copy of reasons.

I also used the b&w info and found it helped, especially the statement of health list which I filled in and the gp used to write a letter of support. I suppose it depends on who reviews your ppel - so unfair.

did your gp, consultants and health professionals write letters of support? if you didn't see them, ask for copies.

don't give up appeal again.

I found an advocate who also helped.

regards,

sandra.

Hi tibby

Don't give up. Took me three goes to get it .last time I used the benefits and work website. Did u fill in every box on Dla form and have lots of supporting letters from drs, specialists, physiotherapists etc.

Try try try again

Yes had many letters, reports, specialist comments and physiotherapist comments. I had two other people write me statements, I completed all the boxes on the form and had a nine page statement from myself with dictionary meanings.

Virtually or unable - Nearly, almost, incapable, I followed these with I am virtually unable to walk without crutches and so I would be housebound.

I threw every word from the because of a physical disability, you are unable or virtually unable to walk without severe discomfort, or at risk of endangering your life or causing deterioration in your health by making the effort to walk. When I am crossing roads I have difficulty as I am unable to walk fast and therefore I put myself in danger, thus endangering my life. Each step I take is filled with some discomfort as wakling with crutches the pain is not just in the feet, knees, hips, its in teh shoulders, elbos and hands.

And still I was turned down.
