I am lucky enough to have private health care with hubby. When I have been a consultation usually includes the consultant checking you over and trying to find out what is wrong so I would say yes an examination is included and maybe even a diagnosis.

Good luck.

Yes definitely, I saw a specialist privately when I was suffering pain a few years ago and he examined me and confirmed that I had rheumatoid arthritis, and then put me on medication.

I've been private when I had a lump in my breast & was too scared to wait for NHS. The fee was £500 included consultation, examination, mammogram, ultra sound scan, & emptying of cyst by syringe! Phew! Worth the money for relief.

I have also seen a rhemy professor privately. He charged £180 consultation fee which does include examination & more for X rays & blood tests, sorry I can't remember how much, long time ago!

Good luck, I really hope it helps you, please let us know how you get on.

Gentle hugs xx
