Hi Donna,

I'm on Tramadol and paracetamol which I take every 4 hours. I set my alarm on my phone so that I take them as regular as possible and I'm feeling so much better than just takin them when I need them.

I also take my Amitriptyline at 5 o'clock every night which helps with my sleep problems.

Don't get me wrong, sometimes if I get a bad flair nothing seems to help, but this way I don't allow for the pain of fibro to take over.

Hope this helps...

Hugs Ren Robin...xxx

Hello again.I am on 600mg of Gabapentin (like Pregablin it is for neuropathic pain) 3 times a day and I usually take 2 x 30/500mg cocodomol 3 times a day too and 400mg of citalopram at night. You need to return to your doctors and see if they can tweak your meds. Maybe you need something around lunchtime too? I know I do!!

Hi Donna, we are all so different in what our body will tolerate re medication. The best thing I would suggest is write a list of how the medication does or doesn't affect you and take it with you when you next see your GP.It is so important to be able to share your feelings and build up a relationship with your GP.

The balancing of drugs and getting a good regime will not happen overnight, please be patient.

Gentle hugs,

xxxx

It may be worth talking to your GP about something other than ibuprofen, there is research that shows that anti-inflammatory drugs are not effective in treating fibro pain as it isn't pain caused by swelling.

Check out fibroaction.org/Pages/How-I... for more info on how Fibro can be treated.

Cheers

Simon
