Just try to relax as much as you can Peter. Any heart op must be scary but they know what they are doing. I had a back op a year and a half ago and was in surgery for 6 hours. 3 weeks ago I had a carpel tunnel release on my right wrist and I am having the other done on 30th Aug. just try to think how much better you will feel afterwards. I think if we tense up and worry our muscles hurt alot more. You will probably hurt for a while but just try and relax x

Hugs to all xxxxx

Hi peter my hubby had a triple heart bypass 12yrs ago .. He doesnt remember the first 5 days following the op. he was full of pain relieve .. So try and relax as best you can before the op and look forward to no pain for a while and less pain after. Hubby has a massage evert two weeks before op. as his muscles hurt so much he has not needed one since less pain ,more money lol good luck with op the benifits will be worth it .. Hugs

I agree with all the above, my husband had quadruple bypass. Just look forward to feeling better afterwards, and as aura says, fantastic pain relief afterwards, so you'll feel better for that as well. Good luck, hope all goes well.
