Being recognised

Many of you have contact me to ask if I can help in any way for us to be recognised as an illness instead of being ignored.

Year before last I claimed ESA but was soon taken off as fibro meant I was 'fit enough to work'

I wrote a powerful letter to appeal and had a GP give support too but it wasn't enough. I entered the media world to make this known but it wasn't enough.

I just want to let you know I am still doing everything in my power despite failed attempts so we all need to stick together and try all avenues.

I am having a really bad week in terms of pains but will vent off in another blog!

It was issue September 2011 in the fibromyalgia magazine. I also had an article in the month before.

The Department recognises fibromyalgia as a potentially significantly disabling condition.

Where a clinical diagnosis of fibromyalgia has been made, full account will be taken of its disabling effects in determining eligibility for benefits.
