Yesterday, when I went to work, I was wearing a specific pair of black shoes. I assume I was still wearing them when I got home alst night. But this morning I couldn't find them. Often I take my shoes off by the front door - they weren't there, but my slippers were, so apparently I didn't do that. Were they by the back door where I would have left them in exchange for my wellies when I walked the dogs? No. In the living room, where I might have just slipped them off for comfort ( I hate wearing shoes anyway) No - they're not there. In the bedroom? the bathroom? I can't find the blessed things anywhere!
Now, the thing is, I wear orthotic insoles to prevent more wear on a bad toe joint, so I really need to find those shoes because they've got the insoles in. I spent about 15 minutes this morning looking for my shoes. In the end I had to give up.
Luckily, I have a spare pair of insoles, not as good, but better than nothing. So, off I go to work, second choice of shoes, 2nd choice of insoles.
Now I'm back home. I've been back a while. I've been in every room of the house. I still can't find the flipping shoes. Do you think there's a chance I might have come home barefoot last night, and just not realised????
Any ideas where else I should look?
Foggy hugs
