Manual moving of my limbs...

Does anyone else get this...? Sometimes the pain in my shoulder is really bad and I can't move my arm by itself...it's like the muscle refuses to move an inch...so I get my other hand and pick my bad arm up manually to move it...sounds daft huh! Its almost as though it is not my arm...except it still hurts so I know it is! Is this common amongst us Fibro's?

hi fibrodude-sometimes my left arm is sooo heavy and aches a great deal all seems to radiate to shoulder and upper back, not daft at all, just not nice - luv Julie51 :) xx

I'm the same fibrodude , sometimes this fibro turns parts of our bodies into aliens .

I had a twitch in my foot last night and it was like it wasn't part of me at all, it just seemed to take on a life of it's own !

Yes it can seem that way...all bits twitching, aching, spasm-ing, throbbing...oh dear, it sounds like a bad b movie...It is a very strange sensation though, I never thought at 42 I wouldn't be able to freely move my arm all the time....

I get it after carrying my shopping home. I carry a not so heavy carrier bag for about 25 minutes from shop to home...my elbow is agony when I carry and then afterwards when I put the bag down I can't move my blasted arm...my muscles go on strike! It is comforting a in a wierd way to know that I am not the only one to have to use the other hand to lift the other arm! oh well...keep smiling...at least I have arms to moan about! :) :) :)

Hi. Yeh I have that problem as well.Like you, Fibrodude, if I carry shopping,by the time i get it home,my elbow forearm and fingers have locked up and refuse to bend to get the key in the door. I have to lift it gently and slowly with my other hand, but it is so painful.

Oh yes....the key!! I forgot that bit, I am the same, by the time I get to my front door I cannot lift my arms to get the key in the lock...if it didn't look so funny i would cry! But it does look hilarious just standing in front of my own front door not going anywhere for a while! LOL :)
