Hi Fiona a few days have passed now and dust has settled.

But Sue and Myself found your blog ammusing as did others

till SOMEONE came on and spoilt the fun.Quite why Someone is a volanteer is beyond me but please don`t stop bloging or asking questions as this is what we are here for.

Not just for the tough stuff but also the stuff that is funny and brightens someone`s day.

So if you want to liken it to dementia you do that,

I bloody well do.

So forget miserable moaning bwaaaah people and come back please

love and hugs Jayne xxx:-)b

I've just said the same thing to mindees Mum. I was trying to explain fibro fog and I said it's like the very start of alzheimer's.

Jules, my husband has had it since he was 50. He's 61 now and been in a nursing home for the past 6 years.

After seeing Steve forget his words and forget where he left the car - he passed a test so he could still drive for a while - I agree, some of us are bound to get dementia Trisha. It is a worry that we don't know if we will.

There are 3 men in Steve's under 65 unit who are in their 40's. That is definitely scary. I have wondered myself sometimes when I've had a bad memory day. xxx

thtas just it sue it scares the hell out of me x

Thanks Jules. Steve was diagnosed at 52 but he'd had it for a long time before then, I noticed it when he was 50 but he definitely showed signs when he was in his late 40's.

Steve has advanced dementia and I've seen him go from a man who was always out on his motorbike or singing in the clubs to a baby being fed and showered and wearing pads.

When my Mum died in September, I came home after 2 months in Leeds and Steve wasn't well. Four weeks later he too was in hospital with pneumonia and I was told he probably wouldn't make it through the night. He did but I have a no recuscitation (sp) for him as I know he would not want to exist as he is now. He also has rheumatoid arthritis.

Hi I am just new to this site and looking forward to hearing from everyone. I constantly feel like I am going of my head, managed to put fresh orange juice on my cereal the other morning. I don't always admit my mishaps as I think people would think I was going of my head. Just aswell we can talk about these things together and undertstand each other. Take care karen x

Sadly we have to adjust to this - if we could do anything to help to be cure this to be sure one of us would have mentioned it. Its frustrating to say the least

Fibro fog can sometimes be a real pea souper,it took me ages to remember where I'd put the milk the other day (under the sink!!)and at work ,if I put a file down then thats it ...gone for about an hour, unless one of my work mates finds it.

I just forgot how to type - I used to be a speed typist, but now sometimes I sit here in front of the computer, put my hands on the keys and can't remember my qwerty keyboard training.... went away and had a break and its sort of come back!

Gentle hugs xx

Iknow that one too well! Iused to work in a PR office and have hectic days> Loads of time spent on the phone and a lot of typing. The other day, whilst writing a letter I was looking for the £ sign. Then didnt remember what i was looking for. The the screen went all blurry, wiped it but it didnt make any difference - it was my eyes welling up.needless to say letter got left and really must do it today but hospital first! AAAAH
