ESA: I have been tole my ESA will be... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
ESA
Have they given you a valid reason why?
Only that I hae been on it for a year....thats it
i am very worried about all those changes... i get benefits and i rely on them to live... i could never go out to work.( though i really loved working). been there tried it and as lkie many other fibro sufferers i never know how i am day to day xx
Phone and ask why and ask what your options are ...
I had a phone call to tell me my ESA will stop at the end of April, it is part of the new Welfare and Benefits Bill going through parliament. If you have claimed contributions based ESA for 1 years you can;t claim it any longer. You will have to see what other benefit you are able to claim, if you have a partner i think they expect them to keep you. I read one article from the government that said if you have been off sick for a good length of time you have had time to adjust to being ill and you should have sorted out your finances by then !!!!
As my partner claims Pension Credit we can claim the amount i will lose from them.
Contact the Benefits office to ask what you can claim !!!
Good Luck
Its so stressfull
I have been on ESA since it was introduced I was seen by two GPs a year appart and finally by a nurse specialist the 2 gps agreed I was not fit to work but the nusre said I could go back to work My ESA has been reduced not stopped and I am appealing the descision to get the higher rate back. All this confusion needs to be clarified we have enough stress already.
