Hi, I had to give in and get a powered chair, too many falls, and can’t walk far at all, you have to do things that will benefit you in the long run.

Hello. I have already got one, it helps me a lot so I think you should get one

It gets easier as you learn to adapt, from a seated shop, plus you can get help from the store you are in, it takes time, but you will benefit from less pain.

Hi I recently bought an electric bike but I’m struggling with it as my balance is unreliable. I have to have a buggy to play golf which I would never consider a few years ago. I don’t feel ready to use a mobility scooter I’ m (71) but I use a walking stick. You go for it (perhaps hire one first and see how you feel) good luck.

My eldest son is autistic and is ok riding a bike until someone passes him at which point he panics and wobbles and either stops or falls off.I recently bought him an adult tricycle which he loves and he can now come riding with us again.

I have an electric bike as I don't have balance issues (yet) so I can keep up with the rest of the family but if I do have problems balancing I will get an electric trike.

You need to do what's right for you, if you're thinking it then it's because you probably do need it x

Go for it! I did and it is a great help. I still walk as much as I can but I support the use of aids wherever it helps you through the day. Best wishes x

Why not ? If it gets you out with less pain, go for it girl. What’s the worst that can happen. Drive safely 🥰

Yes get yourself a mobility scooter. I have a boot one for shopping and trips out snd a big class 3 one for dog walking and going off road. I call at my local CO-OP to buy milk now I am unable to walk into the shop I phone the shops snd my milk is brought out put in my basket and I pay by card, I’ve been doing this for about 15 months now works wonders staff very helpful. The company Mobility Giant seek used ex mobility scooters all tested snd fitted with new batteries. Buy one if you don’t like it or want to change it no problem fill refund or change free delivery and return if required.

Hi I don't have a mobility scooter as I don't think I need one, but I do use a Rollator, (wheeled walker) with a seat, so wherever I am I can sit down whenever I need too. I have COPD as well as Fibromyalgia, so get out of breath often as well as the pain in my legs. But if you feel you would be better off using a mobility scooter then I say, get one! Anything for an easier life.

Hi I got a powerchair and it is the best thing I have done, I too can’t walk far but now I can get out with my husband to take our dog for a walk, I can now go round shops etc. My friend said to me ‘do you want to get out and enjoy your life or do you want to stay at home not going anywhere’ I must admit I really didn’t want to give in but I’m so glad I did. I say get a scooter/chair and get out there and enjoy your life. Take care x

Hi .having a mobility scooter brings many advantages .Definitely enables more enjoyable time outdoors , no stress nor worry about inability to feel safe during walking / falling . Also beneficial when comes to managing pain .took a lot of time to overcome ( gosh I'm just not old enough, am I giving up ,and is it a cop out . Yet once I let go of what will I look like what will others think . Best decision ever simply wish I'd made it sooner , a mobile taxi is perfect for aiding safe journey outdoors , last of all many kind people will assist in shops etc .
