I have pain in my legs almost everyday, I keep forgetting things like I could say let’s do this then a minute later I’ve forgotten, I get very easily confused and just can’t think straight another thing is pain anything from a paper cut to stubbing my toe they all hurt so much I had a papercut and I was in so much agony i even struggle with the simplest of tasks like washing up I can’t wash up without having my arms ache and my headaches don’t get me started they are more painful than periods some days I know this might not be fibromyalgia but nothing shows up on my blood tests my mum has fibromyalgia but the one thing that makes me think it’s not fibromyalgia is my age I’m 17! Could anyone tell me what’s wrong or what I should do?

I had fibro by the time I was 17, I don't think there is any reason you couldn't have fibro because you are young. It may be that doctors don't look for it in one so young so it is identified less.

your not to young to have fibro . I'm 68 suffered like you at that age , did not get diagnosed till i was 60 . as it was not recognised back than .always struggled to get up for school . would fall asleep at my desk , had no concentration for study , accused of being lazy and useless not to mention bullying because of it . so . keep pushing get mum to help with doctor to listen to you . that way , you will be helping others of a young age to get diagnosed . good luck

You could go back to your go and take your mother with you for support. She can state that she has this and wants it investigating or send you to a rheumatologist.mine was not shown in blood tests but a simple pressure test where my rheumatologist pressed certain places on my body which showed very painful.don’t let gp fob you off

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia at 15. But they believe I have had it years before that considering the complaints of pain starting when I was 12. I would go into the doctors and talk about all your symptoms. Let them work on narrow down what could be going on.

Check your thyroid, B12, D, folate and ferritin levels. Don't trust the doctors' 'normal' but get them yourself. Your symptoms could indicate a thyroid or low D problem.
